At Kittitas Interactive Management, our Community Access and Home Habilitation program assists adults in obtaining, maintaining, and improving personal-help, domestic, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to live and contribute successfully in home and community-based settings.
Our services provide support in the general areas of self-care, communication, motor skills, mobility, therapy activities, personal and relationship development, adjustment, socialization, and use of resources. Through this service individuals can learn how to maintain, and/or improve skills through participation in a variety of everyday activities allow adults to live in the community and to live independently, as well as be a more productive and participatory member in the community.
We provide staff assistance to support adults in the following ways: Assisting the individual to access and use resources within the community such as instruction in using transportation, translation and communication assistance for habilitative outcomes, and services to help assist the adult in shopping and other activities of community life. We help the individual in developing or maintaining financial stability and security, we provide self-support including; banking; personal and estate planning; balancing accounts; preparing income taxes; and record keeping.
We enable an individual to contribute in community projects, associations, groups, and functions, including support that assists the adult in participation in a volunteer association or a community work project. We assist habilitative outcomes to help an adult to visit with friends and family in the community. This enables an individual to participate in public and private boards, advisory groups, and commissions. We also enable the individual to exercise rights as a citizen, such as assistance in exercising civic responsibilities.
